Week 48

Even

No loss and no gain this week. All things considered I'm not too unhappy about that. Maggie's burst of baking (see Baking a Cake on my main blog) meant that I was forced to endure warm home made scones and chocolate cake for a couple of days, and we discovered a few goodies left over from Xmas that had to be finished up.

I'm hopeful that the last of the excesses have passed and this week we should get back on track in a more straightforward way.

Statistical summary:

Starting Weight: 19st 9lb – 275lbs
Current Weight: 14st 7lb – 203lbs
Total Weight Loss: 72lbs
Weight Lost since joining the Knights of the Round Bottoms: 7lbs

Well played Kim, especially since there was cake and goodies. Do you like cheese and savory foods or sweet?

Thanks fatmammycat.

I'm fond of pretty much anything, except broccoli & cabbage, or the sharp sourness of yoghurt or blue cheese.

There's a cafe down the road that does wonderful soups. Occasionally though they will do broccoli and stilton - I cannot think of a worse combination in the world. Wife loves it though.

I can eat endless amounts of chocloate, or endless amounts of crisps.

Things with a high sugar or salt content act as trigger foods. Essentially, once I start I cannot stop until I am seriously bloated and uncomfortable.

The trick has been learning not to start, which isn't as easy as it sounds, as my body lies to me. It tells me that I can have one crisp, or one small square of chocolate and that it will taste good, but thenI will be able to stop and be content with the remains of a nice flavour.

It's ever so convincing. And it's not until I'm a bloated wreck on the floor, with a beard full of crumbs that I realise the bastard lied to me again.

I hate cabbage with a passion too, it makes me ill, even the taste of it can put me off a whole dish. I'm not a huge fan of chocolate, but lord, put me near a cheese wheel and I'm finished. But my one true weakness is bread. I like bread, I know that sounds silly, but I really like bread, with lashing of butter and blackcurrant jam. Or lightly toasted with marmalade, or tomato bread with a sprinkling of salt...
Sorry, I'm going now Kim before the drool ruins my keyboard. Glad you had another successful week. You are a credit.

I can understand bread. In fact bread, or toast, can act as a trigger food too.

Kim, I'm going to post this here as I'm not sure anyone else would really be that interested, but today, 24th of January, 2006, fatmammycat, 30k in 59:44, Rage Aqainst the Machine on the iPod, two gears higher in the last five minutes, heart rate 170, sweat pumping, teeth gritted.
Am going into the kitchen now to make a cup of coffee and grin at the cats.

Woo Hoo! Way to go fatmammycat! I'm more than happy for you to post here. I think it's pretty much only you and me who read anything on this blog anyway.

One thing and another meant that I didn't get round to weighing myself this morning, so the plan is to do it tomorrow and then I'll post it up.
