Week 64

1lb loss!

That was a little unexpected. I was pretty sure I’d be even this week. I wasn’t too well last week and so haven’t exactly been active. However, it evens up those weeks where I was trying really hard and nothing happened.

CONVERSION TABLE
I'm pretty useless when it comes to working things out in Kilos, so over on the right I've inserted a pounds to kilos conversion table that I picked it up from http://www.metric-conversions.org

Starting Weight: 19st 9lb – 275lbs
Current Weight: 13st 8lb – 190lbs
KoTRB Weight Lost : 20lb
Total Weight Loss: 85lbs

That's so true about how the numbers on the scale can be unexpected. That's one of the reasons I try to focus on my behavior rather than what the scale says on any given morning. Still, it's great to catch a break ever so often and get a loss when you expect no change or even a gain.

Well done again, you're so close to your goal now.

Arlene - it's also why we have to focus on long term trends and not get too caught up on individual weigh-ins

Fatmammycat - I don't know about "so close". If I lose another 3 pounds then I offically move from being "obese" to just being "overweight"

Don't put too much stock in BMI counters Kim, I have a friend at the gym and 'offically' he is obese, and yet he has very low body fat. He has however a lot of muscle, which of course a BMi counter cannot recognise.

Oh I know they're only a rough guide. I remember reading once that every member of the England Rugby team would be classified as obese by the height-weight chart, but there's not an ounce of fat between them.

However, these exceptions tend to be for the trained and athletic bodies, not the unfit and flabby ones...

Ha, true, but they don't take body size into account either, I mean whether you naturally have a big build or are medium or small boned, the difference can be as much as twenty-five pounds, so you could easily be in the over weight zone right now.
