Week 118

0.6lb gain.

I'm a bit disappointed, although I've had a couple pieces of cake that account for it.

What's so bloody difficult at the moment is that I don't have the energy for exercising. Before I can reach the point 10 minutes in, where everything starts happening, I've run out of momentum. And it's steadily getting worse.

The last B12 injection doesn't seem to have had much impact and there are times when motivation or anything even vaguely resembling enthusiasm for life is non existent (see Bollocks on my other blog).

Activity is the key to moving further forward, but my energy levels are getting lower and lower.

As an aside, discounting introductory entries, this is my 100th post to this blog.

Starting Weight: 19st 9lb - 275lbs
Current Weight: 12st 8lb - 176lbs
Body fat: 23.5%
Total Weight Loss: 100lbs

Hey well done. 100 posts, 100lbs. You may have hit on the new BlogDiet method, where you replace eating with blogging and become an overnight billionaire as your idea becomes the latest craze.

Getting the motivation to exercise is very difficult, I did a 10k a while back and since then lost interest and am tired whenever I try, but keep it up. The blog is an inspiration to us all.

Gerry - welcome to Losing a Hundredweight and thank you for taking the time to comment.

Unfortunately, this isn't just about motivation, it's about sapped energy. It doesn't take much expenditure to feel completely drained these days.

Still, I'm seeing my doctor again later today so hopefully we'll make some progress with finding out what's wrong.

The weight is probably beginning to stabilize now KIm and it's going to be down to exercise to shift the last bit. Difficult when you're feeling exhausted, but if you can muster up there reserves, take advantage.
Either way, as Gerry said, 100 pounds in a remarkable feat, an astounding commitment made by you, to you, your health and to your family. Nothing and no one can deny you that and you should be very proud.

It's been crossing my mind for a wee while now, FMC, that this blog isn't likely to be recording much more of a drop for some time. But for the now I'll keep posting regularly if for no other reason than it should act as an alarm if the weight starts going back on

Wow! Totally impressed with 100lbs lost you should be very proud of yourself!

Maybe this is getting to where your natural body weight is meant to be. If it's energy that you are missing it may be time to do some meditation, yoga and relaxation. It may sound a little deep but after all your body has got to get used to it's new shape and size and it may need a rest to do so.

Also you may find it useful if you've not done so already to get your food tolerances checked out.

Again well done!

Hi Lyndyloo - I practice Tai Chi quite regularly, which helps a bit. I'm not aware of any food intolerances but I'll mention it to the doctor, thanks :)

.6 of a lb really isn't that much. That got to be less than 250 grams. That's about a glass of water, surely.

But I hope the doctor is able to sort out the energy problem mate.

Either way, you continue to be an inspiration.

Hi :o)
Maybe you need to change your choice of exercise? Spice it up a little and change times?
Maybe it is boredom rather than lack of energy for it?
I find that if i eat heaps of veges with dinner, the next morning i'm bursting to go!

Congrats on the loss, you've done [and doing] and AWESOME job!! :o)

FLG - you're right, and I'm not going to lose sleep over half a pound, but it's an indicator that I'm not particularly moving anywhere.

Cactusfreek - welcome to Losing a Hundredweight. If only it was boredom!

If you want to look at my main blog under Health & Fitness you'll see ongoing entries about my decreasing amount of energy that might (or might not - tests are still ongoing) be related to a B12 deficiency
