Week 136

1.4lb gain.

Am I worried by this gain?

No.

It was our 12th wedding anniversary on Friday and my wife & I went away for the night, and ate good food, and had extras with our coffees in cafes, and the weight gain was expected.

I've been looking through my charts and today is almost another anniversary, or demi-anniversary.

It's now 6 months since I hit the 100lb loss mark.

And since that time I have not been above 176.4lbs nor below 172.2lbs

I think I can safely conclude that this is now my stable weight range unless I make radical changes to my eating or activity levels.

Starting Weight: 19st 9lb - 275lbs
Current Weight: 12st 7.2lb - 175.2lbs
Body fat: 22.5%
Total Weight Loss: 99.8lbs

Well, I have to say, Kim, that you look absolutely wonderful at this weight. Losing more may not actually be beneficial to you, no matter what the charts say.

Congratulations on the 12 year mark! My husband and I reached that one ourselves back in April. A good year, 1995...

According to the charts I'm still around 20lbs overweight, but to be honest I can live with that after being 120lbs overweight :)

And congrats yourself for last April

Grats on hitting 12. In the military they considered me overweight at 177 pounds. The "standard" charts aren't very reasonable.

S William - I've often said that one of my problems is that I'm undertall - I have the body of someone who should be over 6 feet tall, but my legs are 6 inches too short.

If I sit on a bench with my 6 foot tall stepson, I appear taller than he is, yet I'm only 5' 7".

At 6 foot and 175lbs I'd actually be in my ideal weight where BMI is concerned :)

I think you're probably right about your weight stabilizing. And if you feel good with it then let that be that. No matter what way you look at it, what you have done is a remarkable feat.

Happy Anniversary! Keep up the fight...er regarding fitness, not the marriage.

Congratulations on the stability of your weight. That is Major. Also, that you were able to enjoy and feel good about your anniversary related indulgences. Even though you'll always be aware of the seductive and dangerous appeal of food, it looks like you have passed through the threshold of a normal relationship with it. Or maybe you are passing through it more regularly now.

Half Man - thanks :)

Arlene - I'm afraid I still don't feel like I have a normal relationship with food. My default way to deal with high emotion is still food, so the battle is there. What I would say is that I understand the strategies so much better though.

Dee - Welcome to Losing a Hundredweight and thank you for your kind words
