Week 161

0.2lb loss

Ah well, at least it's not a gain.

I would have thought that with the depression under control with the anti-depressants, that staying on track would have been a great deal easier. But it appears I was wrong.

As I've stated many times before the reasons for overeating are many and complex, and when we attribute them to a single cause we are blinding ourselves to all the others.

Because the depression has been the dominant theme for so long I'd almost forgotten all the other reasons at work.

Guess I have to start working on them again...

Starting Weight: 19st 9lb - 275lbs
Current Weight: 13st 1lb - 183lbs
Body fat: 25.5%
Total Weight Loss: 92lbs

Hmm, that's very true. You focus on one thing for so long you start to forget there's more than one reason.

Well, I'm pleased to hear that depression is no longer the dominant factor. I'm assuming that it means there has been a definite improvement in that area.

I have to tell you, though, that even were I the happiest person on earth, I would still have a weight issue. I LIKE to eat, and I DON'T like thinking about it so much. I don't care for exercise much and would much rather spend all my time curled up with a good book. That said, I watch what I eat and I exercise as much as I am able - and I accept that this is going to be how it is for the rest of my life.

Damn.

FLG - true

Sayre - Yup, I love eating and have never overly cared for exercise. However, now I have to accept that I have CFS so cannot exercise to any real level, I really have to watch the eating.

Not sure which anti-depressant you're on, but some of them have been known to be associated with weight gain.

Bryguy - it's true, I know some of them do, but I don't think it's the case with the current ones I'm on.
