Week 189

0.2lb gain.

Heading back again...

I know I should probably be posting more about the excuses, the difficulties, the struggles etc, but just at the moment there really isn't much to say. I don't appear to be moving much in either direction. I was surprised I lost weight last week and surprised I gained it back this week.

When I have some insights, I'll post them. Meanwhile best of fortune on your own quests

Week 186

0.2lb loss.

OK, I was hoping for a bit more, but I'm not too worried. I was pretty much on track until yesterday when round at a friend's house who insited on serving 3 course. But, straight back on it today.

Week 185

1lb loss!

Well that's a surprise!

Although I've been on track much of the week, there have been enough extras to prevent weight loss. So how come I've lost weight?

My only guess is that as I've had a pretty lousy few weeks, my metabolism has actually started to speed up a bit to compensate, which might also account for the lesser weight gain than expected last week.

I have noticed this effect before, but within a couple of weeks of being on track it starts to slow again, so cannot be used as a weight-loss tactic - the nett result is always a gain, just not quite as much gain as expected.
