Week 36

2 pounds lost this week, so I'm feeling good about that. But an even greater birthday present is the fact that today I am wearing jeans with a 36 inch waist!

My 38s have been definitely getting baggier so I suspected that a 36 was a possibility, so yesterday I went in search. I got a fright initially when, in the changing rooms, I barely got the jeans over my arse and there was no way I was going to be able to get that button done up. I couldn't believe it - I was so sure they ought to have fit. So when I took them off I checked the label and discovered I'd been trying on 34s by mistake.

So, 2lbs, and a size down in jeans!

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me...

Statistical summary:

Starting Weight: 19st 9lb – 275lbs
Current Weight: 14st 11lb – 207lbs
Total Weight Loss: 68lbs
Weight Lost since joining the Knights of the Round Bottoms: 3lbs

Happy Birthday and congratulations. Oprah Winfrey- I don't watch often but I did catch this show while lying on the couch with a rotten head cold- says- and I believe her as she is to wait loss what, well what Dr Maroon it to turboprops-that for every ten pounds you lose you drop a size. So in another few weeks those 34's wil slide like up like a hot knife through butter. Well done.

Many thanks fatmammycat!

Not too sure about the 10lbs per size thing, as I've dropped 4 sizes but lost 68lbs. So at this rate I'll need to be down another 17lbs before I can fit those 34s.

ergh, I meant 'weight' loss, really some mornings the coffee desn't even kick in. Any way congrats again.

Congratulations. I'm 13 pounds down now and I allready need the splash tarpaulin on my kayak again to make it watertight.

Don't fret fatmammycat, I'm smart enough to have figured out what you meant, dyslexic enough not have noticed anyway, and laid back enough not to worry about it :)

Sir Howling Belly - one more pound and you'll have lost a stone (which sounds much better than 6.36kg)!

Where does such 14-fold numeric system come from? A decimal system I can understand because most people have 10 fingers to count with. But 14?

Congrats, Sir Man Boobs, and Happy Birthday! 68 pounds is a remarkable achievement and those pants sound like a great way to celebrate your success.

Lord Lessismore - thank you!

Sir Howling Belly - I'm afraid I have no idea how the British Imperial system came about. 14 pounds to one stone is just one of the oddities: 16 ounces make up one pound.

Then with measurements, there are 12 inches to 1 foot (1 inch = 2.54 cm), 3 feet to 1 yard and 1760 yards to 1 mile.

These days at school, kids learn the decimal system and have no idea how lucky they are!
