Week 100

1.4lb loss!

Back on track!

It's been a tough week but I'm delighted to have just scraped back under the 13 stone mark, which is a good place to be as I reach Week 100.

Writing week 100 feels a bit weird. Triple figures.

Just as well I wasn't expecting it to be a temporary diet.

Starting Weight: 19st 9lb - 275lbs
Current Weight: 12st 13.8lb - 181.8lbs
Body fat: 24.5%
Total Weight Loss: 93.2lbs

Hi Kim,
Congratulations on Getting back on track. Week 100 just proves that such journies are truely life-style changes and not quick fixes!! Its encouraging to see it can be done long-term.
Thanks for your comments on my site - You truely are an inspiration. Until next weeks weight checks - All the best.

Well done, I knew you'd do it. Hmm, Word Verification is fftyhot. How odd. Perhaps a good omen? Fit and hot is a cracking way to roll into triple digits.

Thanks FMC. I'll happily take fit and hot as a description, athough I think my word verification is saying eetchoklate...

kgknsctw... Nope - can't make anything of that.

Congratulations, Kim!!! SO - what did you do differently? Or have you just said no to a few things you've been saying yes to?

I joined the National Body Challenge (part of the Discovery Health Network television channel here in the States), which officially started Saturday, but I started it a week ago. Lost 3 lbs! Could be a fluke, but it would be lovely if it was the trend!

Congrats on the 3lbs, Sayre.

What I did was move back to my standard way of eating before Feastmas got in the way - cut out the crap and avoid the evening eating.

In the end, there is no "secret to my success". I eat plenty of fresh fruit & veg, minimise dairy and bread, avoid processed food, use brown (bread, rice etc) instead of white, and avoid the trigger foods(usually high in sugar and/or salt).

When I stick to this way of eating, I lose weight and stay healthy. When I start eating the crap, I stop losing weight and feel less healthy.

It's all the stuff we already know.

I am so glad you are back on track Kim. You offer to me a glimpse of what is possible.

Word verification: Sometimes I feel like it is an IQ test or a figure ground test. My current one, bnuriwp, is exceptionally clear, though the "r" next to the "i" look a bit like an "n". I've sometimes had to try multiple times to get the verifications right. Well here goes . . . . .

Hi Arlene - it is possible - you know that. It's just bloody difficult :)
